This project was done as a spin-off to our previously soda stream’s commercial ads project. the idea was to use the original work and try to take it to a different direction, to push it further more and to emphasize the realistic work that was made on the fruits.

Ritual Objects

Ritual Objects is a collection of glazed slipcast terracotta vessels made up of combined geometric shapes. Each of the eight objects have been designed with the same geometric principals, and in this way, are reduced down to a series of symbols. The objects present contrasting qualities of texture (rough vs. smooth), color (saturated vs. muted), finish (shiny vs. matte), and condition (natural vs. artificial). Despite a lack of planned use, each object has the capacity to take on a number of different functions, including cup, vase, bowl, table and desktop containment, and others. Their functional and aesthetic ambiguity allows for a freedom of use and context.

Dividings . Privacy exposed

Una medianera es un mapa vertical causado por la demolición de casas y edificios que exponen las habitaciones que algún día fueron privadas pero ahora están completamente expuestas al publico contando la historia de décadas de uso, reflejando un presente para siempre detenido.

La idea de Raul De la Cerda fue crear una estantería reconstruyendo una medianera ubicada en el 819s Wabash Av. en Chicago haciendo homenaje tanto a la vida que albergaron estos edificios, ahora desaparecidos, como a la construcción misma.
