Recreation Center is a small brand focusing on functional ceramic pieces. After graduating from Cooper Union, Josephine Heilpern found the need to create functional art objects, centered on practical design and simple forms, while using and combining materials that had inspired her print and sculpture background. Pulling references from design history, such as the very influential Memphis group, patterns and colors are at the core of each piece. Inspired by items that are designed to enrich everyday life, each object is created by hand focusing on its individuality and uniqueness.

Kris Knight is a Canadian painter whose work examines performance in relation to the construction, portrayal and boundaries of sexual and asexual identities. Drawing from personal histories of rural escapism through imagination, Knight paints disenchanted characters that are lost between youth and adulthood; they hide their secrets, but desperately long to let them go. His mythical and ambiguous portraits are a synthesis of fantasy and real-world memory; they tiptoe between the dichotomies of pretty and menace, hunter and hunted, innocence and the erotic.

The NASA of the 1960s was the inspiration behind the universe of Woodlabo.
The conquest of space was built on the same values we find in Woodlabo’s creations: meeting the challenge, practising the highest standards, savoir-faire, rigour, innovation and perseverance. Woodlabo’s lights were conceived from this need to dream and to make others dream. Top of the range and out-of-the-ordinary, Woodlabo’s creations tell a story, a story about men and women who, their eyes fixed on the stars, never gave up on their dream to reach the unreachable. The lights created by Woodlabo remind us day after day of this absolute necessity. Woodlabo advocates a Made in Earth production, which combines the finest skills and materials from different countries.
Together we shall achieve the impossible: the conquest of space!
