I dissected all of Hitchcock’s Rear Window and stiched it back together in After Effects. I stabilized all the shots with camera movement in them. Since everything was filmed from pretty much the same angle I was able to match them into a single panoramic view of the entire backyard without any greater distortions. The order of events stays true to the movie’s plot.

Svetlana talks about her desire to inspire with light and color with her paintings. Donna Brass discusses the drive to create. David Wolff shares his philosophies and motivations in regard to his work. Preston Farabow talks about the pressures of making art for a living. Taylor talks about creativity, motivation and her hopes for the future. Brandon talks about the artistic nature of architecture and how limitations expand his creativity.

Svetlana Wynne was born and raised in Belarus, a republic of the former Soviet Union. While studying psychology and languages in Grodno University she also took courses in art, encouraged by her passion for drawing and painting.

She got a degree that would allow her to teach art in the public school system.

Her love for art drives her to explore new and old art forms. Her paintings are bright and uplifting and often inspire deep thought.

I have always been close with my family but I was surprised by how much I learned during this brief interview. Not just about my mother but about myself and the compulsive/creative behaviors I possess. When my wife saw this she said “that’s you.”

More about Donna Brass at donnabrass.net/wordpress/

The major influence on Donna Brass’ artistic direction came to her in the person of Xavier Ironside, a renowned Knoxville painter. He introduced her to watercolor, it’s transparent quality offering more creative potential than the opaque paints Donna was using. Driving country roads, Donna Brass takes many photographs, both to record initial impressions of all subject possibilities and also to jog her memory of specific detail.

On their third collaboration with the Help pharma team, TLFS crafted an quirky, humanistically focused video to market the initiative; Help ‘I want to save a life’, a bone marrow registry kit, now inside every package of Help ‘I’ve cut myself’, bandaids.
Help teamed up with a DKMS, the world’s largest bone marrow donor centre to release a bone marrow testing swab in each package of the bandaids.

The video depicts ‘everyday’ incidents where you’ve cut yourself and urges us to thank these various sharp objects for now we can all be registered bone marrow donors.

My friend Scott Jarvie who was one of the main photographers for the event, you can see some of the behind the scenes of it all in his blog post down below!

For all the shots where the camera was on a pole, we used Contour cameras to get those shots. Check them out.
http://contour.com/

For the actual pole itself that we hooked the camera to, we used a Go-Scope pole. I bought mine on this website. They make them for GoPro cameras, not Contour cameras, so we had to rig the camera to the pole to make it work.
http://go-scope.com/

As far as making the camera look like it was “flying”, I used a glidecam 2000 HD for all those shots. You can check out the exact model on their official website below where you can also buy them, and I don’t get paid to say that

As far as a techincal level goes…

This was filmed on…
Canon 7D
